The chipmunk’s answer is appropriate for so many situations.

I was thinking that this is the first mammal to appear in the Adventures of Blue Bird, but Slappy and Tony are mammals. So this is the first mammal we’ve met in a long time.

Bland Ibis’ opinion of mammals comes directly from how many people I encounter feel about birds. Sad, really.
