I went through the whole house-buying process a couple of years ago. It is hellish. Apparently, it is more traumatic than having all of one’s molecules replaced with folger’s crystals. Yeah! I know! It’s that bad.
When I rented, it was much easier. I don’t think that I was ever refused a place that I applied for, but I’ve heard the horror stories about that, as well.
